Zombie Farm Game Makes iPhone Farming Fun

Google Sites

Following the current trend of “Zombification”, the popular game Zombie Farm is right up there with the best. Combining monsters with farming provides players with some of the more enjoyable aspects of iPhone gaming. Plant crops, harvest zombies, and beat the farmer; no matter what you do, this game is sure to keep you entertained for hours.

Beginning with a small, blank farm, you can customize your avatar (the “you” character in the game). You can select a plain avatar, or purchase additional, more fun options. There are male and female versions of each option, allowing you to get more specific than a lot of other iPhone or iPod Touch applications.

The tutorial at the beginning of the game explains virtually everything you will need to know. It covers crops, zombies (which you can plant and grow), and battling the farmer.

Increase the size of your farm, the difficulty of the bad guys you battle, and the number of zombies in your employ, all while remembering to harvest your crops in a timely manner. You have got to be careful; your crops can (and will) wither if you don’t tend to them quickly.

As one of the top 100 iPhone applications currently on the market, it is easy to believe you will enjoy virtually every aspect of this game. Zombie Farm is a game that merges the best of Farmville with the most popular monsters currently on the big screen, in the library, and in the imaginations of the nation.

Pros:

1) It is free. The initial download of Zombie Farm is definitely worth more than nothing, but you can get it free of charge.

2) You can pick it up when you want to play, and put it down when it is inconvenient, without having to worry about starting over, losing your place, or forgetting what you were doing, which is certainly a step up from some other free applications.

3) Whether you have hours or minutes of free time to spare, this game can – and will – keep you entertained. Plant a few crops and set it down, or plant fast-growing crops and zombies to battle the farmer multiple times, or watch your coin (and hopefully brain) balance increase.

Cons:

1) If you choose not to pay for upgrades and additional brains, your game play may be somewhat less than exciting. After the first battle, if you do not purchase brains to expand the strength and number of zombies you can grow, your chances of continuing to advance in the game dwindle considerably.

2) Without neighbors, the game can become tedious. As the number of iPhone or iPod Touch users grows daily, the possibility of gaining neighbors increases. Without neighbors, you miss out on valuable items the game has to offer, as well as the ability to give and receive items and products you may need.

3) Forgetting to harvest your crops on time could be quite costly. It is absolutely essential you remember to plant crops you will be able to harvest in a timely manner, otherwise you will waste your coins and/or your brains.

The bottom line? Zombie Farm is a well-designed, and extremely user-friendly application, and its appearance on the Top 100 list is not – or at least should not – be surprising.
