Addison Rae Channeled Marilyn Monroe With a Classic Red Lip and White Dress
Addison Rae had a total Marilyn Monroe moment.
The actor stepped out in a throwback white halter dress from Versace’s Spring/Summer 2004, which featured an asymmetrical hemline and geometric cutout, accessorized with a simple silver heart pendant and some glittery eyeshadow. The look was pulled together by red lipstick and a pair of sky-high white platform peep-toe heels with chunky soles. Rae’s outfit was perfectly reminiscent of a white dress famously worn by Marilyn Monroe in 1954 for her film, Seven Year Itch (Marilyn also sported peep-toe shoes with her look)! While there was no subway grate in sight this time around, she truly embodied the playfulness of a young Marilyn while wearing this get-up as she happily twirled to show it off.
This isn’t the first time the He’s All That star has sported a vintage inspired look. She’s recently been seen dipping into the archives of designers like Jean Louis de Scherrer and Thierry Mugler, showcasing a new side to her aesthetic that steps away from the more casual and sporty styles that she previously preferred. According to an interview with Vogue, Rae even has a few specific pieces on her red carpet wishlist, including archival McQueen.
If this old-school Hollywood glamor moment is any indication of what’s to come for Addison Rae’s style evolution, we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out for her next big red carpet event.
