Dixie D’Amelio Paired a Newly Shaved Head With a Sheer Dress — See Photos

Dixie D’Amelio debuted a seriously major change in hair. While appearing at Friday’s Harper’s BAZAAR and Bloomingdale’s Fête, the TikTok star unveiled her newly shaved head. 

The closely cut style is something we’ve never seen on Dixie before. However, she’s apparently been thinking about make the switch to shorter hair for awhile. 

Celebrity hairstylist Laura Polko, who was responsible for the cut, hinted at Dixie’s desire to go short in an Instagram post, writing, “Wow. @dixiedamelio I love you.. it’s been fun.. see you when you’re hairs back but I love you and loved having this moment with you you’ve talking abt since the day I met you.”

In an accompanying YouTube video, which debuted on Friday night, Dixie shared a behind the scenes look at her haircut. “I’ve wanted to do this since like sixth grade,” she says in the clip. She goes on to admit that no matter what happens, “it will grow back.”

The YouTube video captured the complete shave, with Dixie proclaiming, “Oh my god, I’m gonna puke,” as the shaving starts. She soon eases into the cut, smiling and laughing as it continues. “I really like it,” she proclaims.

We really like it, too! Dixie looked totally glam with her new ‘do and cream-colored gown. The sheer dress featured cutouts and sparkle, its train trailing behind Dixie as she posed for photographs. She credited makeup artist Olivia Madorma with creating her beauty routine, while Mimi Cuttrell handled styling. 

Friends and family showed their social media support of the style via Instagram comments. Addison Rae wrote, “Holy sh*t this is amazing,” while Dixie’s sister Charli commented, “incredible.”

In the video, Dixie revealed that she planned to temporarily hide the cut. As she had two events to attend around the same time, Dixie chose to wear a wig to the first and unveil her short hair later. She definitely made a statement with the look, proving that she can pull off just about anything when it comes to hair!
