Hayley Williams Debuted Purple Peekaboo Highlights for Her “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” Collaboration

From her quintessential neon orange ‘do to her bleach blonde shag, Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has had her fair share of memorable hairstyle moments throughout the years. Her latest? Swiftie-approved purple highlights.

On July 6, the musician posted a cryptic sneak peek of bleached hair extensions with tips dyed a pink-purple gradient on her Instagram story, mere hours before the highly-anticipated release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) by Taylor Swift. Williams and Swift are longtime friends, and now collaborators. Williams is featured on Swift’s poignant, and previously unreleased, vault track “Castles Crumbling” on the new album. 

Later, Williams returned to Instagram to officially reveal the complete hair look: a shade of dusty lilac, with vibrant fuschia and purple accents that framed her face and matched her purple glitter eyeshadow. The hues appear to have been pulled straight from the famed tulle dress Swift wears on her SNTV album cover.

Williams styled this very Swiftian fringe and makeup with an embossed lavender button-up by Shushu/Tong, a white minidress, sheer tights, and white knee-high gogo boots. 

In an Instagram video, Williams gives fans the break-down on the look and explains how it was created “to celebrate the release” of the album, by hair stylist and makeup artist Brian O’Connor.
