Jenna Ortega Dropped Her Go-To Beauty Product for Removing Bloody Stage Makeup
Jenna Ortega has learned plenty from her various roles in film and television, from incorporating fan favorite character Wednesday’s goth-inspired clothing into her own wardrobe to how to make her performances as authentic as she can. The star’s latest trick? What to do when you’re covered in blood.
Ortega shared a carousel of photos to Instagram that included a behind-the-scenes selfie where she was all smiles while covered in fake blood, a snap of a bloodied makeup wipe, and a final reveal of the product she used to clean up: Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes. “Without fail,” she captioned the post, making sure to tag the brand for which she’s a longtime ambassador. The actress has starred in a variety of horror movies that involve significant amounts of stage makeup that often includes imitation blood, and she often relies on Neutrogena products to take care of her skin in between shoots.

In addition to Makeup Removing Wipes, Ortega has also previously named other products that are especially helpful in keeping her skin clean and fresh after using stage makeup. “Recently, I started using the Stubborn Texture Face Wash because it’s a good clean slate for me. I’ve been working on jobs recently that require a lot of blood and dirt and it’s nice because it’s an exfoliant, so I feel like it really gets in there and I can start my day refreshed and ready to go and kind of start over and focus on the new task at hand,” the Wednesday star once told Teen Vogue.
