Selena Gomez Wore a Cozy Spin on Barbiecore to “Saturday Night Live” After-Party — See the Photos

Selena Gomez continued her colorful streak, following up a recent Enid-inspired hair makeover with a Barbiecore pink ‘fit. 

The superstar made a surprise appearance at Saturday Night Live on Saturday, December 10. After briefly joining her Only Murders in the Building costars on the show, she was later spotted at the SNL after-party.

Taking a cue from the continuing Barbiecore trend, Selena wore a pink look from Valentino. Her ‘fit featured an oversized sweater, which was adorned in sequins and was worn off-the-shoulders. The sweater featured a bit of ruffled detailings at the end, and beneath the top, she wore pink tights and matching shoes.

Barbiecore devotees may recall that Gigi Hadid once wore a similar fit. When appearing at an April event, Gigi also chose an oversized pink top with the same pink Valentino shoes. While the supermodel had worn her blonde hair down, Selena chose an updo, and appeared to have pulled back a portion of her dark hair.

Selena went with minimal accessories for after-party, choosing to sport just a pair of gold hoops. She was also back to her usual hair coloring, ditching a rainbow wig that was giving us serious Enid from Wednesday vibes.

This month also featured another colorful moment from Selena. At the star of December, she was photographed with a “Skittle” manicure. For the look, Selena’s longtime nail artist, Tom Bachik, painted each of Selena’s nails a different shade of pastel.

Selena isn’t the only celeb to embrace the Barbiecore pink trend. 2022 was filled with bright and bold ‘fits in various hues of the color. Gigi sported multiple takes on the look, while Khloe Kardashian made headlines for her latex pink dress. Multiple celebs include Florence Pugh and Anne Hathway also attended a Valentino runway show in July, wearing different iterations of the Valentino-approved color.
