Songs That Have The Word Middle Somewhere In Their Titles
Five and a half months ago, without giving any consideration to the next spring, I placed my lawn mower in the shed. Obviously I must have put many additional things in it afterward, for I had to spend nearly an entire afternoon removing stuff just to get the mower out.
As I labored, I made a determination to never again store the mower in the middle of the shed. In the process of cutting the grass, my mind began to consider songs that contain the word Middle in their titles.
Here is a list of fifteen of those tunes.
Middle Age Crazy by Jerry Lee Lewis
It is not as well-known as “Great Balls of Fire”, but no hits collection by the rockabilly legend would be complete without this classic.
Stuck in the Middle With You by Stealer’s Wheel
Gerry Rafferty went on to have greater success as a solo act, but this enduring hit have us the first glimpse of his talent.

Piggy in the Middle by the Rutles
Parodying the Fab Four in the mid Seventies, these comedians ended up making a catchy album with Beatlesque songs like this one that resembles “I Am the Walrus.”

Man In the Middle by ABBA

The Middle by Jimmy Eat World
This simple title is found on the Bleed American album from 2001.

Middle of Your Heart by Melanie
After singing about roller skates and a new key, the folk singer scored again with this ballad.
Middle of Nowhere by Dusty Springfield
She made it much further than this title indicates, having sang in other great hits like “You Don’t Have To Say You Love Me.”
Middle of the Night by the Kooks
These English alt rockers have been making great songs like this one for nearly two decades.
Middle School Dance by Foxygen
Few artists have taken on this huge event in the lives of Tweens, and none have done it more creatively than this indie group.
