“Stranger Things” Star David Harbour Supports Noah Schnapp After His Coming Out Video
We’ve got a fresh issue of the Hawkins Post for anyone keeping up-to-date on the goings on in the Stranger-verse. Actor David Harbour, who plays the beloved Jim Hopper on Netflix’s Stranger Things, threw his full support behind his co-star Noah Schnapp.
The 18-year-old actor just came out publicly as gay last month via a TikTok, where he said the people in his life were unsurprised and supportive. “When I finally told my friends and family I was gay after being scared in the closet for 18 years and all they said was ‘we know,” he wrote. He paired the earnest post with a dash of self-effacement, poking fun at himself by lip syncing to the now viral audio clip, “You know what it never was? That serious. It was never that serious. Quite frankly, will never be that serious.”

In an exclusive interview with E! News, Harbour said, “I’m always happy for people that are true to themselves and come out. That was terrific.”
Noah’s other co-star Finn Wolfard also said he gave Noah praise and support in an interview with IndieWire. “I’m incredibly proud of Noah for coming out publicly like that. I think it was so incredible and brave,” Finn said.
