The African Giant is the king of this week’s New Music Friday, and leads the week’s best new songs and releases with his sixth studio album Love, Damini. The Nigerian musician’s latest project is a follow up to 2020’s Twice as Tall. He most recently released the album’s lead single “Last Last” back in May, which has since become a massive, viral smash hit.

Sharing the slate with Burna Boy for this week’s NMF is TDE rapper Doechii, R&B-pop duo Emotional Oranges, British girl group FLO, and Murda Beatz with a huge collab featuring his girlfriend Anitta, Quavo, J Balvin, and Pharrell.

Burna Boy’s sixth album Love, Damini is star-studded as ever, boasting features with everyone from Afroswing rapper J Hus to Kehlani to Blxst to Popcaan to the iconic South African choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo — and even Ed Sheeran. Burna Boy and Ed have released an official music video for their song together, which takes place in an elevator and showcases a rare, Diddy-bopping-and-two-stepping Ed Sheeran.
