Aaron Carter has reportedly died at the age of 34. 

TMZ was among the first to report the news, reporting that law enforcement officers had responded to a call at Aaron’s California home. People and a source with The Hollywood Reporter also confirmed Aaron’s reported death, saying that law enforcement confirmed they were called to Aaron’s home. There is no word on a reported cause of death. 

Aaron, who was the brother of Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, first made a name for himself as a singer, rising to prominence in the ‘00s. Some of Aaron’s top hits included “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It),” a cover of “I Want Candy” and “That’s How I Beat Shaq.”

Aaron had made a return to his rapping and singing career back in 2014, releasing a single titled “Ooh Wee.” He later released additional material, including an album in 2018, which was titled Love.

He also made multiple television appearances, including in an episode of Lizzie McGuire. Appearing as himself for the episode, a young Aaron proved central to the holiday-themed episode. According to People, he was also on an episode of 7th Heaven, and appeared alongside his family on the reality television show, House of Carters. Back in December 2021, Aaron welcomed a baby with Melanie Martin.
