Christian Adventure
What constitutes a Christian adventure? The Christian adventure encompasses all that there is in the life of a Christian, be it in terms of his life’s work, his choice of recreation for himself and his family, the places he travels to as well as his day to day living. The Christian adventure is a journey of learning to live from the inside out and a life that is based on trusting the Creator.
Christian Adventure Travel
Annually, seven percent of the world’s Christians, approximately 150 million people, travel as pilgrims, which is really just another word for “Christian tourism”. This not only includes Christian missionary trips but also Christian themed cruises to amazing places around the world where you can not only sight-see but also hear great Christian speakers, authors and musicians. Christian retreats, traveling abroad to historic castles, men’s ministry rallies like “Promise Keepers”, Christian camps and even photo safaris are on the top of many Christian adventure to do lists. Almost every Christian traveler at some point wants to visit the Holy Land. Visiting Israel can be a very rewarding experience for those who seek a Christian travel experience. Northern Israel is where the “House of the Fishermen” is located. This is said to be a place where Jesus preached actively, together with his disciples Peter, Philip and Andrew who also live within the vicinity. The Jordan River is also located in the north. Lots of visitors take the opportunity to be baptized there. Central Israel is where most of the important events in the life of Jesus occurred. Beit Sahur, said to be the site of the nativity is found near Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Central Israel also includes Emmaus, Jericho and Ramleh which is believed to be the place where Jesus was buried. The Dead Sea is located in South Israel. Many ancient scrolls were discovered here, including the Qumran and the Nahal Hever. The palace of Herod is also located nearby.
Another great trip is to visit Athens, Greece. This is one of the world’s oldest cities, dating back almost 3,400 years and where the Paul the Apostle preached to the Athenians. It’s also the site of the first modern Olympic Games that began in 1896 and repeated again in 2004.
Christian Adventure Jobs
Finding a job in these economically troubled times is challenging enough and Christian adventure jobs can be more so. Christian jobs have requirements that differ from general job requisites. Finding the right one for you requires looking for it in the right places. Do not just confine your search in your church’s bulletins. You can visit Christian adventure job websites and look for sites that allow job seekers to post their resumes. Contact Christian colleges, seminaries or the denominational headquarters of your church in your area. Some of them may maintain Christian adventure job listings such as leading Tri S (study, serve and share) trips abroad or working in Christian youth camps in the mountains of Colorado for alumni or people like you who are looking for these specific jobs. You should be specific of your passions and gifting when you work on your resume. Include skills and experiences that highlight your Christian background.
Christian Adventure Games
Christian adventure computer games help children understand the bible in a medium that they will be able to appreciate. Lots of personal computer games contain extreme violence, strong language and gore, much to the dismay of Christian parents. There are personal computer games that are Christian themed which are wholesome and enjoyable not just for the youngest members of the household but also for the whole family. It’s a great way to bond, learn and discover the bible together as a family. Christian adventure games can be classified according to age levels. For preschool children, personal computer games that teach classic bible stories from the old and new testaments are popular. For older children more challenging Christian adventure games will suit them more. Games that include puzzles and performing various tasks related to bible stories and characters make Bible adventure games interesting and far from boring. For teenagers and adults, Christian themed games are available to play online or various video game consoles. Christian adventure games teach children and even adults Christian life values that are important for the child’s development as a Christian and a human being.
